Fun Fact #1

According to the Internet Movie Database, Robert "Freddy Kreuger" Englund's father designed the U-2 spy plane.

Bonus fun fact: He auditioned for the part of Luke Skywalker. My guess is that he couldn't get the whole petulant space-teenager thing down.

Freddy Krueger is also a surfer, in real life. Robert Englund was also in the only decent hollywood rendition of a 'surf' movie (as in it didn't totally suck, 'my name is johnny utah, ass)
The movie: 'Big Wednesday'
He played one of the buddies to the three main characters, Masochist, Matt Johnson, and whatever that character played by 'greatest american hero' was named.
Krueger didn't really have any lines in the film. He just was a hanger on with the main three.
Another Freddy Kruger Fun Fact for ya.
Of course it has to do with surfing. I got surfing on the brain right now.
I'll be there tomorrow no matter what!

hey, what about "surf nazis must die?" - a flick that has nothing to do with nazis, even less to do with surfing, and who's death scenes leave a lot to be desired.

As often as I have seen that flick sitting in the rack at the rental place. I could never bring myself to rent it. But if the death scenes are good, I should give it a shot.
I shall put it on my list. my ever growing long, long list.
Someday, I'm going to sit down and watch back-to-back movies. Someday!
